Eli Jacobe, Lic.Ac.

Acupuncturist Eli Jacobe graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1985. He also studied both acupuncture and Qi Gong therapeutic Chinese exercise extensively with Thomas Tam, Lic.Ac. In 1988, Eli took advanced acupuncture training in Beijing, China at the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From 1989 to 1998, he taught at the New England School of Acupuncture as an assistant to his favorite professor, Kiiko Matsumoto, Lic.Ac. He has also supervised interns at the school’s student clinic in Matsumoto’s approach to Japanese Acupuncture . In September 2006, Eli studied Medical Qi Gong (therapeutic exercises) in China with Dr. Wan Sujian for two weeks at the Beijing Red Cross Traditional Medical Exchange Institute and returned in both 2008 and 2009 for additional training.

A physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Wan is a 4 star general in the Chinese Army Medical Corps. Just as the USA has surgeon-generals, China has acupuncture-generals. Eli trained with Dr. Wan in 2006, 2008, and 2009.

Eli designs healing programs that include acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, homeopathy, meditation, and Qi Gong. Prior to studying traditional Chinese medicine, Eli taught yoga, meditation, and stress management. The skills and insights of those fields continue to enrich his healing work. In addition, he found that his M.A. in Higher Education from Maharishi International University prepared him to approach health as a learning process.
